Well. I managed to dig out my old phone, so I called sprint and told them to transfer my number back to the old phone. So now I have a cellphone again.
As for today, this is the first saturday that I've had in a while where I have no plans and literally have nothing to do but just stay home and be a couch potato the whole day. It actually feels quite good to just lounge and relax for a change, instead of running off to do errands, perform, or help friends out with something.
I just finished watching Sky captain and the world of tomorrow. It was ok, nothing good or bad about it, just ok watching. I think I will now watch Alien V Predator, you gotta love netflix. Anyways, tomorrow is practice day so I better get my rest today, although some of the peeps wants to trek out to cache creek tonight. I guess we'll just wait and see.

NO PHONE
Today, for some unknown reason, my cellphone decided to die and now I can't even turn it on, even when plugged in. Audiovox by Qualcomm sucks, their phones do not lasts long. This is the 2nd phone that I've had from this company and I tell ya, I should've learned the 1st time when the phone died after a year. This last phone I had died after 6 months.
Now I have to get another phone, now that's another expense that I really cannot afford. Is there no end to the madness. Maybe I can go back to the good old days of no cell phones and just go through life without one. What do you think?

Today we had our audition for the dance ethnic festival. I think we did ok, even though I kept screwing up the music for Paseo de Iloilo. I think it was because of a combination of things, the early time ( I wasn't awake yet) and the fact that we didn't have any monitor speakers on stage, so I couldn't hear anyone and I mean anyone (like Bryan was playing next to me and I COULDN"T hear him to get my timing right). I never felt so alone playing. Also, Mckenna theater does not have the best acoustics in the world, so that hindered the sound a little bit.
We then had our rehearsal today, and can you say ARAY marathon. we played that song over and over within the first hour or so until Kuya Rudi decided to teach Lapay Bantigue and Balamban. We then cut practice short an hour because it was already a long day for most of us.
He also came out with the potential schedule for this year and man, there's a whole lot of things going on. I had to tell Kuya R. to change my status for Brazil to a maybe because I might have trouble with fitting two weeks in the schedule since my work only allows mon-sat weekly vacations, meaning I can't start a vacation on any other day but mondays and our schedule for Brazil goes from a wednesday to a tuesday thing. I know maestro B is going to kill me when he reads this. Anyways keep your fingers crossed, I will talk to my manager and see what I can come up with. Sick days are another option too.
Saturday, I helped Arledge with moving some of the final things out of his house and I think we can officially say that the move out is finished. No all we have to do is wait for his house to get built and then wait for his call for the move in. I better buy a back brace.
Word to the wise:

TIRED....AND THEN SOME
This past weekend was probably the most tiring weekend that I've ever had.
Saturday I helped my friend Ledge move some of their furniture and belongings out of his old house (which they've sold) and move them into storage as they wait for their new house to be built. Let me just tell ya, this boy has got A LOT of things, and it took us the whole day to move 4 loads of stuff in the truck. Guess what, that wasn't enough, as I finally left his house at 11:30 pm (I started at 9 am)
he still has enough things for at least another 3 loads. Granted he only rented a 14 Ft u-haul truck, that's still a lot of shiznit to move. But it felt good to help, since it was only me, him and John that eas doing it.
Sunday was Likha's first rehearsal for 2005. Attendance was surprisingly good (matter of time before people start not showing up for practice) Practiced a couple of old dances (aray and abaruray) then we went on to practice for our ethnic audition pieces which were Jota Manilena and Paseo de Iloilo. Audition is next Sunday, hopefully we do a good enough performance to get into the festival. If not, there's the Brazil and Vancouver performances to look forward to. Also, Kuya Rudi confirmed last Sunday that the festival people from France had officially invited Likha to be a part of their dance festival in 2006. I guess I better brushed up on my french as well. Sweetness!!!!
Today, I had to work even though it was MLK day, but it was all good, a lot of people were off so it was somewhat an easy day. Oh well, I'm off to watch Monster House on Discovery. Later on peeps
Keep on strumming!

Broke......and then some
Last sunday, before heading out to Mur's house to watch 60 minutes (Kobi was featured as part of a piece about cancer sniffing dogs), I went to Best buy with the Laxa's and ended up buying this on an impulse and I must say it was worth it. The only thing is now I don't want to go anywhere anymore.
I just want to stay home and watch movies all day long. I guess partly to blame too is the enormous amount of rain we've been having lately. Look at it this way, I'm so broke, that I can't afford to go out anyways. Oh well, rondalla practice is here again, that will force me to go out, although that would drastically cut into my viewing time ;) Am I a loser or what?!

Wet, Wet, Wet
Man, it sucks when it rains. I can't see anything while driving for work, puddles everywhere, morons driving at high speeds like it was a sunny day and they are the only ones on the road. We should have a "stupid" law put into effect. Basically if you someone making an extreme stupid move you can go and smack them upside the head and put a sign on their forehead to let everyone know that they are stupid. Hah, wishful thinking. But anyways, I'm done with my venting. Gotta go rest up. Have to help a friend move tomorrow (IN THE RAIN!!!)
Pish on dood!

Here comes the new year
Well, it's 2005 and back to the same old shiznit. Actually it's a little slow at work so far, so I'm enjoying the fact that I can take my time and still be able to finish everything and get off at a decent time, plus traffic is not as bad (sometimes). Although what's up with all the rainfall. I can't even fish on the weekends 'cause it's been so wet and windy lately. I could've sworn I was up in Vancouver or something, it's been so wet. ;p
Anyways, it's given me the chance to enjoy my tv, and I tell you HD makes a BIG difference. Lovin' it. (I know I sound lame, but hey, I'm a simple man with a simple taste).
Have a marvelous day.
